History

Hi-Lex Corporation was founded in Japan in 1946. Over the years it has positioned itself in the world as a leading company in Research, Technological Development and Production of supplies for the automotive market. Globally, it is the number 1 company in the manufacture and sale of mechanical Control Cables and number 2 in the production of Window Lifters; additionally, its products also include Cables for the Construction Industry, Aeronautics, Maritime and the Medical industry.

On October 1, 1993, HI-LEX Mexicana SA de CV (HLM) was established in the State of Querétaro. Its main activity is the manufacture of Steel Cables implemented in Brake, Clutch, Back Door Control, Accelerator, Seat Control, Automatic Transmission, Speed ​​Control, Chest Release, Trunk and Gasoline Tank systems, as well as manufacturing of Window Lifters, among other products. Continuing with its expansion in 2013, the second plant located in El Marques began operations in response to the needs of its Clients.

Today HI-LEX Mexicana employs more than 1,200 workers and produces approximately 30,000,000 cables per year. It has exceeded expectations originally raised and exports its products to the United States and Canada directly, and indirectly to Brazil, Argentina and some European countries.
